Karimnagar: The representatives of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) along with the students of various educational institutions took out a rally by carrying a national flag of 370 meters length here on Wednesday.ABVP State secretary K Sai Baba had inaugurated the rally from Kaman Chowrastha to Geeta Bhavan in Karimnagar city.

Speaking on the occasion, Sai Baba said there is a difference of the Independence Day to be celebrated on Thursday this year to all the I-Day celebrations that have been celebrated for the past 72 years in the country. This is because the BJP government has scrapped Article 370, which has been existing all these years in Kashmir, as part of 'One Nation-One India-One rule' slogan.

The ABVP held several agitations demanding the previous government to scrap Article 370, which was been implemented in Kashmir. 'Today India has become complete, as the Kashmir has become a part of India. So, this Independence Day is going to be special compared to previous years,' he opined.All the people, irrespective of caste and creed, region and religion, have appreciated the BJP government for its daring decision of abolishing Article 370, he added.

The ABVP leader had appealed all students and representatives of various peoples organisations to celebrate the Independence Day on a grand note on Thursday to show their patriotism towards the country.Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar congratulated the members of ABVP for holding a massive rally in the city with a 370-meter-long national flag.ABVP members Raju, Sagar, Rachakonda Giribabu and district convener Kiran were present along with others.
