ACB raids benami properties of Keshampet's suspended Tahsildar

Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday conducted raids in the houses of benamies of ex-Superintendent of Regional Director Municipal Administration N Venkateshwar Naik and his wife Tahsildar of Keshampet Mandal (under suspension) V Lavanya in the disproportionate assets case registered against them.

The officials conducted searched at the houses of B Nagamani at Hayathnagar and also at the residence of V Hussain Naik at Kapooria Thanda of Suryapet district who are benamies of Venkateshwara Naik and Lavanya.

During the searches it was revealed that they have amassed assets to their known sources of income to the tune of Rs 1.33 crore.

The ACB officials produced Lavanya before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Hyderabad.

Her husband is already in judicial custody for demanding and accepting bribe for providing a job on outsourcing basis.
