ACB sleuths arrested Director of IMS and are enquiring her at BanjaraHills office
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials who intensified the investigation on the allegations of corruption and irregularities in the department of Insurance Medical Services (IMS) has arrested Ch. Devika Rani, Director of IMS from her residence at Shaikpet on Friday and shifted to ACB office in BanjaraHills.
The sleuths on Thursday conducted searches on the offices and residences of IMS officials and private persons including a private TV channel reporter involved in the case in 21 places in Hyderabad and other places. The officials primarily identified that Rs 10 crore corruption and irregularities occurred in the case. The enquiry revealed that the Director, IMS and other officials have involved in making fake indents, falsification of records
in the purchase of medicines by violating the rules and regulations and caused loss to the government exchequer. The sleuths are going to enquire her and seek clarifications on the documents and key evidences seized during the searches at different places.
