Nalgonda: Accused in Pranay murder case shifted to Gujarat
Nalgonda: Based on the directions of Gujarat court, district police under the supervision of In-charge Superintendent of Police Ravirala Venkateshwarlu shifted Asgar Ali, an ISI terrorist and accused in the murder of Haren Pandya, former Gujarat Home Minister and also in the murder Pranay Perumalla of Miryalaguda, to Gujarat.
A Gujarat court has recently awarded lifer to Asgar Ali in Haren Pandya's murder case.
Ali who was one of the main accused in Pranay Perumalla murder case was arrested under Preventive Detention Act and sent to Warangal jail. However, he was released recently on bail.
District police who put an eye on the movements of Asgar Ali after release from Warangal jail on bail, came to know that he did not change his attitude and has been threatening people demanding money. Recently, the police arrested Ali in connection with a ganja smuggling case and have been interrogating him.
Meanwhile, a Gujarat court informed the district police about the verdict and ordered them to produce Asgar Ali before the court.
In-charge SP R Venkateshwarlu informed that following the Gujarat court directions, the district police have shifted Asgar Ali to Gujarat and produced him before the court in Ahmedabad for future course of action.
