Additional DGP Jitender urged to release sarpanches forum chief

Hyderabad: TJS President Professor M Kodandaram along with Congress party leaders and others met Additional DGP Jitender on Tuesday and urged him to intervene in order to release the President of Sarpanches Forum, Bhumanna Yadav.

The leaders alleged that police arrested him unconstitutionally while he was on the way to Huzurnagar along with his supporters to file the nomination on September 27.

They alleged that after releasing the other Sarpanches Bhumanna was taken to Nirmal and implicated in a case to prevent his participation in the election.

The leaders urged the Additional DGP to intervene into the matter and release him to participate in the election and to see that the elections will be held free and fair.
