Adilabad: Clean drive held at Mavala village

Adilabad: As part of 30-day special action plan, ZPTC Nalla Vanitha Rajeshwar along with Executive Officer Mahendar conducted clean drive at Mavala village of Adilabad district on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the duo said that they have identified four dilapidated buildings in their gram panchayat limits and two of them have been dismantlement. Also identified half acre land to use as dumping yard, cleaned overhead water tank and cleaned almost all the drainages in the gram panchayat, they informed.

Under the government's prestigious programme Haritha Haram, 10,000 teakwood saplings, 10,000 toddy and 2,500 other saplings were planted under avenue plantation.

A third electric wire has been arranged for a stretch of four kilometres was arranged in the gram panchayat. Nine bended and damaged electric poles were identified and replaced with new ones so far.

Awareness was created among the people on individual toilets and imposed a ban on plastic bags and other plastic-related items.

ZPTC Vanitha Rajeshwar and Executive Officer Mahendar said that they are successfully implementing Haritha Haram project to develop green cover and to provide oxygen to the future generations.

Haritha Sainikulu posts were filled with eligible candidate to protect the saplings planted under the green drive. About 90 per cent of individual toilets have been completed under the gram panchayat, they informed.

Sarpanch Prameela, vice-sarpanch Mahendar Yadav, secretary Mahendar and others were present.
