Adilabad: Don't do anything illegal, SP Vishnu S Warrier warns
Adilabad: "We have been successful in creating fear in the minds of criminals, that they will be punished if they commit any crime in the district," stated Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier at a press meet here on Thursday.
With the continuous efforts of the Special Task Force, the police have registered 38 cases and arrested 78 persons. They seized gutka worth Rs 48,92,735 and seized 14 two-wheelers, two cars, two Eicher vans, three Tata mini lorries and nine autos, he informed.
Police registered 10 matka gambling cases and arrested 36 persons and seized cash Rs 65,827. As many as 29 cases of gambling were registered and 160 persons were arrested.
In these cases, cash about Rs 3,27,890 was recovered and seized 56 two-wheelers, 113 cell phones, and two cars in the district. The SP warned the criminals not to commit any anti-social activities in the district.
