Adilabad: Government aims to make tribal students international sportsmen
Adilabad: ITDA in-charge Project Officer (PO) Dr Gopi said the government aims to make tribal students as international sportsmen by bringing out their natural talent, while addressing a national sports day celebrations at KB complex in Utnoor in Adilabad district on Wednesday.
Participating as a chief guest, Gopi said the government has arranged three sports in joint Adilabad district to encourage the students to take part in sports from childhood. The students of Ashram Schools are ahead in sports and the government has provided all facilities for the interested students to bring them up in the sports. He also assured to provide funds if required. Asking the students to take inspiration from sports personalities like Sindhu, Hemadas, he added that students with sports background will also get job opportunities.
Tribal Welfare Department DD S Chandana Patil said the tribal welfare development have been focused on tribal students and provided playground. With the teamwork of students and PETs, we can achieve State-level prizes, Patil added.
ATDOs Soujanya, Chandra Mohan, ACMO Jagan, Sports authority Partha Saradhi, Bhukya Ramesh, Hemanth and others were present.
