Adilabad gunfire: Injured man dies in Hyderabad
Zameer, who suffered bullet injuries after a MIM leader opened fire died on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad. Zameer was a former councillor of Adilabad municipality.
Tension prevailed in Thatiguda colony in Adilabad following his death and the police have rushed to the place to prevent any untoward incidents.
The MIM leader Farooq Ahmed who opened fire at a group of people with his revolver after a brawl over a cricket match has been already by the police. When Farooq fired shots, Zameer who was one among the group sustained bullet injuries in his abdomen. Syed Mannan and Mothesham who also suffered injuries were in stable condition.
According to the police, Farooq fired shot at the group and attacked with a knife holding a grudge against Zameer for a long time for contesting against him in the municipal polls from Thatiguda. The incident created panic among the residents.
