Adilabad: The sacrifices of police martyrs were unforgettable, stated District Collector D Divya while addressing Police Commemoration Day at AR headquarters in Adilabad on Monday. On Police Commemoration Day, Collector D Divya, Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier, Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna and Both MLA Rathod Bapu Rao paid rich tributes to police martyrs pillar and remembered their sacrifices.
Later they presented moments to the martyrs' families and distributed prizes to the winners of essay writing, drawing and other competitions.
Participating as a chief guest, Collector Divya Devarajan assured that the entire district administration will support the families of nine martyrs of Adilabad district. She interacted with the families of the deceased police personnel, listened to their problems carefully and assured of extending help to them and will solve their problems. She asked them to bring their problems to her notice.
SP TS Ravi Kumar read out the names of 156 police martyrs on the occasion. On the closing ceremony of Police Commemoration Day week-long activities, a rally was taken out with public representatives, local people and martyrs family members, which was flagged off by Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier.
DSPs LC Naik, Venkateshwar Rao, Zilla Parishad vice-chairman Rajanna, Special Branch in-charge Inspector Anwar Ul Haq, Inspectors Potaram Srinivas, N Prasad Rao, K Purushotham Chari, V Suresh, RIOs Sudhakar Rao, K Indravardhan, SIs and others were present.
