Adilabad SP Vishnu S Warrier tightens women's protection system

Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier directed the police officials to respond immediately to the women, who ask for any help round the clock.

He addressed an emergency meeting with district police officers, She Team, Dial 100, Rakshak mobile and police control staff following the orders of State higher officers at AR headquarters (police conference hall) in Adilabad on Tuesday.

The SP informed that he is recruiting additional police personnel for women safety in the district and directed the district police to integrate the surveillance system and take action according to the plan.

For emergencies, three She Team for women protection and assistance and 22 Dial 100 vehicles and eight Rakshak Mobile parties are instructed to work 24x7.

People can get help by dialling 100 from anywhere, the control room staff will receive the phone call any time and inform to Rakshak mobile team immediately. If victims ask for help, the security personnel will be alert and reach the scene of offense quickly. If women feel insecure feeling at any time and at any location, they should immediately call these numbers to get help.

The SP directed the DSP-level officers to monitor women's protection every day and instructed the police officers to set up more CCTV surveillance cameras at colleges, parks, movie theatres, shopping complexes, places where there will be large number of women. He ordered CCTV command control room staff to watch video footage carefully to identify stragners.
