Adopt total transparency in procuring tractors for GPs: Wanaparthy Collector

Wanaparthy: With the State government directing all the district administrations to procure one tractor for every gram panchayat for lifting garbage and for various other purposes, the district administration of Wanaparthy has decided to form a Tractor Procurement Committee to ensure total transparency in the procurement process.

Taking part in a review meeting with senior officials on the issue of procurement of tractors, Collector Swetha Mohanty said the district-level committee constituting Joint Collector, District Planning Officer, Project Director of DRDO and District Administrative Officer (DAO) and senior officials from Engineering and Industries department would be looking into the quality and would go through the details of company supplying the tractors and its services in the district.

"Our effort to form a district-level committee is to ensure that we get quality product and that too in a transparent manner. There should not be any hidden procurement deals. We want to make everything transparent, giving no scope for any kind of discrepancies in the procurements," said the Collector.
