After MRO murder, revenue officials in Jagtial take applications through window

Murder of MRO Vijaya Reddy has left the revenue officials fear for life. While some began carrying pepper sprays to the workplaces, officials at the Tahsildar office in Ibrahimpatnam of Jagtial are taking the applications through the window to avoid any untoward incidents.

No person is being allowed inside the office. However, in rare cases, people after being checked by the VRAs are only allowed inside the office. Meanwhile, the public fumed over the officials for coming up with nutty ideas to protect themselves. They also alleged that the incidents will not get repeated if the officials work properly.

MRO Vijaya Reddy was set on fire at her officer in Abdullapurmet by one Suresh over a land row. A few days after in Kamareddy, a constable allegedly threatened a Tahsildar to dire consequences for not completing his work.

The series of incidents have panicked the officials who have set up barriers in their offices so that people can't approach them directly.
