Agriculture officials warn of strict action against spurious seed sellers in Suryapet

Chilukur (Suryapet): Chilukur mandal agriculture officer T Srinivas warned of taking stringent action against traders who cheat farmers by selling spurious seeds to them. On Friday, along with staff, he examined the fertiliser shops located in Bethavolu village of Chilkur mandal in the district.

As part of inspection, he checked the records of respective shops and collected samples of stored fertilisers to ascertain the quality by sending them to pesticide quality testing lab in Hyderabad. Action would be taken against traders after receiving the reports, he informed.

Agriculture Extension Officers Shirisha, Nagajyothi and Chandra Shekar accompanied the official.
