Agriculture Minister distributes free cylinders in Wanaparthy

Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy distributed free stoves and gas cylinders to women of Wanaparthy district on Friday.

Taking part in a programme in the 19th Ward of Wanaparthy district headquarters, the Agriculture Minister distributed gas cylinders and stoves to more than 50 women and said that the State government was committed towards the welfare of women, and helping them to have good cooking conditions in their homes.

As part of this, the government was providing free cylinders to all those households which were still depending on firewood, charcoal and kerosene for cooking purposes.

"The Telangana government is working for the welfare of all the sections of the society. Particularly for the women, we are doing everything for their welfare. The poor women are struggling with traditional cooking using firewood and we are committed to eradicate the firewood cooking or Kerosene cooking as it is not only dangerous for the health of the women, but also adversely impacts the environment," said the Agriculture Minister.
