Agriculture policy full of loopholes in Telangana: Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy
Hyderabad: Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy criticised the State government's Agriculture Policy and said that it is full of loopholes and it would not help cultivators.
Addressing the media persons, he said that the crop loan waiver was not given nor the Rythu Bandhu programme was implemented properly.
The Congress leader said though the government promised that it would implement the Rythu Bandhu scheme without any restrictions, now it is limited to farmers with five acres land.
He said that passbooks have not been given to lakhs of farmers and farmers of orchards were discouraged. The Congress MLC said that the farmers are not in a position to use the subsidy given by the Centre.
He said that though there are no restrictions all over the country on cultivation, the Telangana government has been imposing several conditions.
