AICC forms panel to fight graft in TS
Hyderabad: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed a panel comprising Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders to fight corruption in the State and the economic policies of the Centre.
All India Congress Committee in-charge general secretary RC Khuntia has issued an order on Friday appointing the committee. It would be called "committee to expose corruption of TRS government and failure of NDA government economic policy."
The decision to appoint the committee was taken at the meeting of the Core Committee of the TPCC recently. The committee on corruption would visit various irrigation and power projects within two months in the State and would collect evidence and information regarding the alleged corruption of TRS government.
The Committee will prepare a petition in consultation with legal and technical expert to submit the memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Government of India.
It would also prepare a report on the failure of economic policy of NDA government and failure of TRS government to fulfil the assurances they made in elections. It would also prepare one-year action plan for agitations.
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy would be the chairman and Leader of Congress in Assembly Bhatti Vikramarka would be the convener.
The committee includes working presidents A Revanth Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Md Azharuddin, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, senior leaders Ponnala Lakshmaiah, V Hanumantha Rao, MLC T Jeevan Reddy, former LOP in Assembly K Jana Reddy, senior leaders Damodar Rajanarasimha, Vijaya Shanthi, Dr Chinna Reddy, Madhu Yashki Goud, Sampath Kumar, Vamshi Chand Reddy, Marri Shasidhar Reddy, P Sudarshan Reddy, Mohd Shabbir Ali, MLAs D Sridhar Babu, T Jayaprakash Reddy senior leaders J Geetha Reddy, Dr Mallu Ravi, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Dr Sravan Dasoju, and Ameer Javed.
