AIMIM goes to aid of Delhi riot victims

Darussalaam: As part of its relief efforts to riot victims of Delhi violence, the AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) started two medical relief camps and also dispatched medicines worth Rs 4 lakh to the national capital.

According to party leaders here, the party had contributed to the essential medicines for the victims of the communal violence in North East Delhi and party chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi personally handed over the medicines to the Citizens Collective for Peace and Helping Hands Donation Drive and he also entrusted Baligh Nomani, party leader with the responsibility of overseeing the relief.Earlier, party chief also announced for the contribution of one-month salary of all the party representatives among riot victims.

"On the instruction of Asaduddin Owaisi, two medical relief camps were organised in riot-stricken areas of North-East Delhi, one at Indra Vihar and the other at Chaman Park on Sunday. Several victims visited camp to avail free medical facilities and essential medicines were also distributed among people. An amount of Rs 4 lakh of medicines were distributed by AIMIM among victims who were currently living in relief camps in North East Delhi," said one of the leaders at city party office.
