AITUC leaders demand payment of pending salaries of health workers in Narayanpet
Narayanpet: The All-India Trade Union Congress leaders along with the healthcare workers particularly the sweepers and scavengers working in Narayanpet district gave a representation to District Community Health Services (DCHS) officials to immediately release the pending salaries of the workers on Tuesday.
According to Kondanna, AITUC district secretary of Narayanpet district, the sweepers and scavenger workers were being deprived of their salaries for the last four months. "Already the sweepers and scavengers and other community healthcare are paid meagre salaries on the top of it they are not paid on time. It is unfortunate that the healthcare officials are insensitive to the issues of the poor workers. We demand the health authorities to at least heed to our request and release their salaries immediately," said Kondanna.
To this, the DCHs officials have agreed to look into the matter and pay the pending dues as early as possible.
