Alert in Telangana State after coronavirus case in Kerala

Hyderabad: The State government has set up a control room to attend to cases relating coronavirus. People returning from China are asked to call on 040-24651119 for any guidance and medical help.

Till now the Union Health Ministry operates a common helpline. But with spurt of suspected cases from each State, the Centre directed all States to make an exclusive helpline operational immediately and accordingly Telangana Health department made arrangements.

Meanwhile, after the detection of first coronavirus case in Kerala, the State government on Thursday instructed all medical officials to be vigilant and conduct medical tests to all passengers who arrived from China in their respective jurisdiction without fail.

The Health and Medical department officials also refuted the reports that a person infected with the deadly virus admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Since morning, a section of media was abuzz with rumors of a positive case of the virus infected to a person returned from China recently, officials said it is a false news and no such positive case was reported so far in the State.
