All parties condemn police attack on CPI ( ML) leader in Khammam
Khammam: All parties condemned the attack on CPI (ML) New Democracy State assistant secretary Potu Ranga Rao by the police during the bandh in Hyderabad. On Saturday, the Left, Congress and other parties' leaders jointly organised a press meet at New Democracy Office in Khammam.
CPI (ML) State leader Potu Ranga Rao was injured during the protest in Hyderabad when the police beat him. In that incident, his thumb finger received a deep cut while he has tried to lay siege of the Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad.
The parties' leaders alleged that the government has to take responsibility of the incident. They said that the parties organised the bandh peacefully across the State in support of the RTC strike, while the police behaved cruelly against the protesters.
They questioned the government, "is the police behaving friendly …..It is the friendly police." They recalled how the Left parties played a key role in the Statehood moment. They alleged that the KCR is ruling like a dictator.
They demanded the government to file cases immediately against the police officials who attacked the New Democracy leader. CPM, CPI district secretaries Nunna Nageswara Rao, B Hemanth Rao, Congress town president Md Javeed, New Democray leader Ramaiah and TDP district party leader T Sivaiah and other leaders of TJA, Praja Front participated in the meeting.
