All schemes smack of scams: Bhatti

Hyderabad: Leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday alleged that all the schemes being launched by the State government were scams.

Addressing the media, he found fault with the remarks of State BJP president K Laxman that the Congress was a tail of TRS. He pointed out that the BJP has been helping the TRS since the beginning.

He said that during the recent sessions of Parliament the TRS helped the BJP on multiple occasions. He said that both of them have been working hand in hand from the 2014 elections.

Now the BJP has come to know that the schemes of the state government were scams. In fact, the Congress has said that six years ago and it has been fighting against it.

Vikramarka said that the redesigned Kaleshwaram project was a big scam as water lifted from Kaleshwaram to Yellampalli was let of into the sea.

He alleged that works of Kaleshwaram worth Rs one lakh crore has been handed over to a TRS leader. Works of Rs 55,000 crore Mission Bhagiratha have been entrusted to the contractors in similar way.

He described the Sitharama and Palamuru projects also as scams. He demanded the BJP to hold an inquiry into the redesigned projects.

He said that he would meet Union minister Amit Shah and explain the corruption behind the schemes. He demanded the state BJP unit to bring pressure on the Centre to order the enquiry.
