All set for Ganesh nimajjanam: Karimnagar Police Commissioner

Karimnagar: Tight security arrangements were made to prevent any untoward incidents and to conduct Ganesh idols' immersion on a smooth note in the district, Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy stated at a press meet at the Police Commissionerate here on Tuesday.

The Commissioner said that everything is ready for Ganesh nimajjanam at Manakondur, Chintakunta and Kottapalli tanks. About 2,800 Ganesh idols have been installed under the Commissionerate limits. The process of idols' immersion will begin from Wednesday morning (September 11) and continue until late night till all the idols are immersed in the respective tanks, he informed.

All the processions must begin from 4 pm on Wednesday evening. As huge number of women, children and elders will turn out to look out the procession and Ganesh idol immersion process,

necessary security arrangements were made with the cooperation of District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed and the officials of various government departments, he informed.

One nodal officer and one police officer will inspect the immersion process at the respective tanks along with 200 volunteers, who were trained by the police. As part of the security arrangements, one Additional DCP, five ACPs, 21 Circle Inspectors, 31 Sub-Inspectors, 52 ASIs and 500 constables have been deployed to monitor the process.

Four CCTV cameras were installed at every tank along with 120 CCTV cameras in addition to cover the complete route of immersion process and all the cameras were connected to the mobile phones of respective police officials and Command Control Room, the Police Commissioner stated.
