Allot 15% assigned seats to BC students in SC hostels in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: BC Students Association district president Jakkani Sanjay Kumar said that several students belonging to poor financial ground will come to Karimnagar, famous educational centre, to pursue education. But they are facing problems due to lack of facilities and hostels to stay in the city. BC and SC hostels are the only option for them as they couldn't afford other hostels in the city, which are expensive.

Hence, he requested District Administrative Officer Raju Kumar to take measures to ensure that BC students, which constitute a major proportion of the population in Telangana, will have adequate hostels for their accommodation. He also urged the officer to take steps to increase the number of hostels and seats for both boys and girls.

Sanjay Kumar as submitted a memorandum to the officer, requesting him to allocate 15 per cent of assigned seats for BC students in SC hostels in the city. Students Council district leaders Kamutam Sadanandam, Naveen and Rajashekar accompanied Sanjay Kumar.
