Andhra Bank employees taking part in Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in Karimnagar on Wednesday

Karimnagar: As part of 'Swachhata Hi Seva' (SHS) campaign, 2019, the staff of Andhra Bank's zonal office of Karimnagar participated in the Shramadanam programme and collected plastic.

Addressing on the occasion, Divisional General Manager Jagannatha Swamy said that the bank staff participated in the campaign from September 11 to October 2 and collected plastic that will be recycled or disposed of.

He also said that during the campaign they organised several other programmes like observing Swachhta Karyalay and Plastic-Free Office. By coordinating with the local bodies, the bank sponsored their activities of collection of plastic wastes and segregation. The bank staff conducted awareness camps in schools and colleges besides Walkathon for all the employees.

To mark the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, the staff members of the bank of all branches participated in the Swachh Bharat Mission programme orgaised on the premises of their banks and cleaned the office premises and surroundings, he added.

He informed that the bank from now on wards would give preference in financing the units engaged in plastic-free product like jute bag making, paper plates, paper carry bags etc., He appealed to the aspiring entrepreneurs who are interested may contact their nearest branch of Andhra Bank.

The Assistant General Managers Sambasiva Rao, Ramana Murthy, Chief Manager Venkateshwarlu and the branch managers of Andhra Bank were present along with the staff members.
