Anganwadi teachers became hamalis in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: Alleging that the State government hasn't released the increased wages of Anganwadi workers, which the Central government has increased eight months ago, CITU general secretary Nurjahan said they will stage a dharna at the Collectorate in Nizamabad on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media at CITU office here on Tuesday, Nurjahan criticised the Telangana government for making Anganwadi teachers as Hamali labourers. Criticising that the TRS government is negligent in solving the problems of Anganwadi teachers and helpers, she demanded to resolve their problems.
The CITU general secretary said that the government is not giving uniform for the past five years and also school arrears, gas cylinder payment bills and vegetable bills were also not released.
Along with the dharna, she said that they will take out a rally from Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium to the Collectorate at 10 am on Wednesday. Anganwadi Union district secretary Swarna, Bharti, Suma, Bhoomwa and Anasuya were present at the press meet.
