Zaheerabad: CITU staged a novel protest with flowers in their ears in front of Integrated Child Development Society (IDCS) office on Tuesday demanding salaries in the first week of every month for teachers and helpers, working in Anganwadi centres.
CITU District Secretary Maipal Reddy said the government has failed to recognise work of anganwadi volunteers. He demanded TA, DA and house rent for them. He threatened to intensify the protest if the demand is not met. CITU leaders Gowramma, Sabitha and anganwadi volunteers were present on the occasion.
