Another constable tests positive for coronavirus in Hyderabad

The coronavirus cases among the police personnel have been on the rise in the state with another constable serving at Gandhi Hospital tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.

The constable was rendering duties at security wing in Gandhi Hospital and is a resident of Venkata Reddy Nagar in Ramanthapur. It is learned that the constable underwent tests for coronavirus and tested positive. He works at Nacharam police station.

The constable is learned to have his native place with his family a few days ago. He was admitted in the isolation ward at Gandhi Hospital and his family members were quarantined. Now, the officials are looking for the primary contacts of the constable.

Four days ago, two policemen from Bowenpally and Chilkalguda police station infected with the coronavirus. Among the two, a constable was on duty at Gandhi Hospital between May 2 and 10 and another is a sub-inspector at Chilkalguda police station. The two were tested positive three days after a constable succumbed to coronavirus on May, 20, 2020.
