Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday said that the merger of RTC was not possible even in Andhra Pradesh.

Replying to a question on decision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to merge the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation with the government, Chandrashekar Rao said that there was an experiment going on in AP and nothing had happened so far.

"It is impossible to merge the RTC with the government. It will not happen till the earth exists.

Let us see what is happening... an experiment is going on there (in AP). Nothing has happened there so far. A committee is formed and it will give its report in three or six months.

What have they done? They have just issued orders and formed a committee... God knows what will happen," said KCR in response to the merger process of APSRTC with government.

The Chief Minister made it clear that the merger was not at all possible because there were 57 corporations in the state and they would also put forward such demand if the government accepts the demands of RTC unions and again the Courts would also direct the government to merge the Corporations like RTC.

The Chief Minister lashed out at the BJP leaders for supporting the demand for merger and asked whether they would implement in the states like Karnataka, Maharashtra and other States where they are in power.

The Chief Minister, however, complemented the workers stating that the workers were good and even the executive directors were efficient and the only problem was with the unions. "The unions are the main problems in all the RTC issues.

The workers should think whether they want to suck their own blood or they will save their RTC," said the Chief Minister adding the private operators were giving better services than the RTC.
