Around Rs 175 loss incurred due to TSRTC strike: govt to HC

A loss of around Rs 175 incurred due to TSRTC strike, said government's advocate general to the High Court on Monday. He said that there are only Rs 10 crore in the government's treasury and the RTC is in Rs 4,709 crore debts.
"The RTC is being pushed into Rs 12 crore loss every year and this year, the government accorded Rs 500 crores to RTC," the counsel told the court. The AG also said that only two demands of RTC are acceptable out of the total 21 demands. While 16 other demands will increase the burden on TSRTC, the counsel added.
The counsel further recalled that the RTC employees have gone for the strike with the same demands in 2015 and the court stated it as unlawful.
