Arrangements on for Maha Bathukamma in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Local MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao directed all the officials concerned to make necessary arrangements for immersion of Bathukammas in the constituency. Speaking at a meeting held at his camp office in Tuesday with the Zilla Parishad vice-chairman K Chandra Sekhar Rao and others, the MLA asked the officials to complete all the arrangements by Thursday.

Informing that the Maha Bathukamma would be held on October 5 at Prakasham Stadium, Vanama asked the officials to illuminate the Stadium and its surroundings with colourful lights.

Further, he urged people to cooperate to make the coal town plastic-free and suggested women to not to use any plastic material or plastic flowers for making Bathukammas. The MLA also ordered the Municipal authorities to clean roads and also maintain cleanliness at the immersion points. Directing the authorities to beef up security measures at the immersion points, Vanama informed that he would inspect the immersion points at Palvoncha and Kothagudem areas on Thursday.

ZPTC M Vasantha, MPP Vijaya Laxmi, MPTC Sona, Municipal Commissioners of Kothagudem and Palvoncha Sampath Kumar and Srikanth, MPDOs Ramesh, Rama Rao, Sasidhar Sastry and Tahsildar Bhavani attended the meeting.
