Asifabad: Auto washed away in river

Asifabad: An auto rickshaw, along with the driver, got washed away while crossing a bridge at Chintakunta river in SirpurT mandal in Asifabad district on Friday. Continuous rains for the past four days made the river to swell with water and created havoc in the district.

The auto driver managed to escape from the water and able to pull his auto out of the water with the help of locals.

In another incident, 12 persons including an auto driver were injured seriously when the auto, in which they were travelling, was overturned due to over speed at Vempalli village while traveling from SirpurT to Kagaznagar. Two passengers with grave injuries were referred to Hyderabad for treatment. No casualties were found.
