Asifabad: Congress conducts Vanta Varpu

Asifabad: In solidarity with the strike of RTC employees, Congress leaders organised Vanta Varpu programme at NTR Chowrasta in Kagaznagar on Wednesday.

Sirpur constituency Congress in-charge Dr Palvai Harish Babu, the chief guest at the programme, called upon the people, people's organisations and teachers unions to stand in support of the RTC workers.

Pointing out that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy had merged the RTC with the government soon after coming to power, Harish Babu demanded the TRS government to merge the RTC with the government immediately.

He called upon the people to make success the bandh on October 19.
