Asifabad: Constable dies of heart attack in police station

A 25-year-old police constable died of a heart attack while he was asleep in the police station in Koutala on Wednesday night.

It came to light on Thursday morning when the station Head constable tried to wake him up around 7 am.

Rathod Manoj is a resident of Kerameri mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. He was found dead on the premises of the police station when he was taking rest. He was discharging night duties at the time of the incident.

Manoj began his career in 2018 after being posted at Koutala police station. He is survived by a wife. The police registered a suspicious death case and launched an investigation.
