Awareness rally marks World Glaucoma Day
Serilingampally: An awareness rally was taken out on Tuesday in Chandanagar and Gangaram areas besides their surroundings to mark the World Glaucoma Day.
Addressing the participants, Vasan Eye Care managing director K Ratan Kumar advised people to protect their eyes by detecting early cases of Glaucoma disease.
Otherwise, he warned there would be a danger of losing sight and permanent blindness if the ailment increased.
He called for regular eye check-up to get rid of any problems.
"Those above 40 years of age should compulsorily undergo Glaucoma test, particularly those afflicted with BP and diabetes," Kumar stressed.
Among those present at the rally were Glaucoma specialist Dr Uma, Vasan Eye Care AGM Anil Kumar, Dr Saibabu.
