B Tech student killed as car overturns at Madhapur

Hyderabad: An engineering student was killed in a brutal accident on Sunday morning hours when the car she was travelling in along with her friend turned turtle at 100 feet road in Madhapur.

According to police, the deceased was identified as M Sai Vihita (20), a B Tech final year student belonging to Kukatpally. She was going in a car along with her friend Suchith Babu who had consumed liquor and was driving the car.

When they reached Parvath Nagar crossroads, he rammed the vehicle into an auto rikshaw and lost the control due to which the car overturned.

Vihita who was sitting in the front seat fell on the road and sustained serious head injuries due to which she died on the spot.

The auto driver M Chandar and another pedestrian who were also injured seriously were shifted to a nearby hospital by the locals.

After the accident, Suchith Babu absconded from the spot. By registering a case against him for negligent driving and resulting in death of the girl, Madhapur police took up investigation.
