Babu Jagjivan Ram remembered

Kothagudem: The 112nd birth anniversary celebrations of Babu Jagjivan Ram were conducted on a grand note by the district administration on Friday. District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini garlanded the portrait of Babu Jagjivan Ram at the Ambedkar Community Hall.

Later, addressing the people, the Collector praised the services rendered by the former Deputy Prime Minister for the uplift of oppressed in the society and called him a true statesman. In another programme conducted by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency in Bhadrachalam, Agency's Project Officer VP Gowtham garlanded the photograph of Jagjivan Ram and lighted a lamp.

Gowtham said everyone should know the history of the late leader as it is traversed with struggles, victories and sacrifices.
