Bandi Sanjay Kumar warns TRS against poaching BJP corporators

Hyderabad: State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar dared Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asking to give freedom to the State police to go to Old City and bring the people from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, besides, Rohingyas illegally staying there.

Addressing the media after admitting prominent persons from Khammam into the party here on Thursday, he said that BJP was not against the police and has great regard for them, however, there were some police officials reengaged after their retirement who were performing the government's role. It is an insult to the IPS cadre discharging their duties in Telangana. "We are Hindus and work for Dharma. If you protect the law, where is the necessity for us to come into picture?" he questioned.

Sanjay said that the TRS has not learnt its lessons even after Dubbaka defeat and poor show in GHMC elections. The local TRS leaders in Khammam were trying to create fear among people for grabbing power in Khammam civic body elections. "But, people of Khammam district are smart enough to understand the games of the ruling party. However, several leaders from Khammam, Warangal are ready to join the BJP," he added.

He cautioned the TRS not to try to poach the BJP candidates who were newly elected in the GHMC elections. If the TRS makes such attempts then, BJP would respond in the same measure and it would be the pink brigade that would be in trouble, he warned.

Earlier, BJP Tamil Nadu in-charge Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that prominent leader from Khammam were attracted to the good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and joining the BJP under the leadership of Sanjay Kumar fighting against the TRS in the State.

Earlier, Sabasi Srinivas, Ravindranath and several other leaders along with their followers from Khammam joined the BJP.
