Bank of Baroda Kisan loan mela in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: As part of Baroda Kisan Pakhwada, for the first time Bank of Baroda Telangana Region is conducting mega kisan loan mela at Suguna Gardens in Nizamabad city.
With the objective of extending financial help to more famers, the Bank of Baroda will organise Baroda Kisan Pakhwada from October 1 to 15 and will celebrate Baroda Kisan Diwas on October 16, which coincides with the World Food Day (October 16).
As part of this initiative, the Bank is organising various programmes at their branches such as farmers' fairs, night meets in villages, health check-up camps for farmers etc. Night choupal will also be organised to make farmers aware about the specific schemes of the bank related to agricultural sector.
As part of this a mega Kisan Mela will be organised in Nizamabad, where various agricultural products, seeds, fertilisers, insecticides, agricultural machinery, soil testing camp, health camps for both farmers and cattle, banking facilities and Self Help group products will also be displayed in addition to agriculture loan disbursements.
Explaining about Kisan Pakhwada at a programme held here on Tuesday, Chief Guest NABARD CGM Vijay Kumar informed various agricultural products sponsored by Bank of Baroda. GM and Head of AGRI related advances P Vinod Kumar Reddy informed about the initiatives launched by the Bank in respect of farmers of the country and about Baroda Kisan Diwas.
Later, cheques worth Rs 6.5 crores by 11 branches of Bank of Baroda were distributed to the farmers of Nizamabad district on the day. Zonal Head and GM P Srinivas, Regional Head of Telangana Region K Vijaya Raju, DRM BRC Murthy and TVSS Sharma, branch heads of Nizamabad district and other staff members of RO were present at the event.
