Bathukamma off to a colourful start

Parigi: Bathukamma celebrations were organised here at Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir on Friday. Teachers prepared Bathukamma with the flowers brought by the students.

Later, they played Bathukamma by singing the traditional songs and making rounds around it. They explained to the students about the nine-day festivities. Al lats, they immersed the 'Bathukamma' in the nearby stream. Head Master K Mallesham, Santhu Singh, teachers and students were present.
