Be a part of developmental activities in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervour in the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Thursday.
Health Minister Eatala Rajendar in Karimnagar district, Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar in Jagtial district, Sircilla Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nyalakonda Aruna in Rajanna Sircilla district and Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhu in Peddapalli district had hoisted the national flags at a colourful ceremony and received the guard of honour by the police personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guests of the programmes explained the public about various developmental activities that are under progress in the respective districts and about several innovative welfare schemes introduced by the State government for uplifting the weaker sections of the people present across the State.
They urged the people to utilise various welfare schemes introduced by the government to develop economically along with participating in developmental activities that are going on in their respective districts for achieving Bangaru Telangana. Various tableaux explaining the developmental activities that have been taking place across the State were displayed on Independence Day celebrations.
Later, the dignitaries had distributed cheques to beneficiaries under various welfare schemes and presented prizes to employees, who discharged their duties perfectly.
Cultural activities performed by students of various educational institutions grabbed the attention of the people on the occasion.
