Be alert of viral fevers, provide treatment: Collector Bharathi Hollikeri

Mancherial: District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri told the medical and health department to be alert of viral fevers and to create awareness among the people how the viral fevers spread and how to maintain their surroundings clean and neat.

Speaking at a review meeting at the Collector's conference hall in Mancherial on Friday, she asked the medical and health officers to be alert as typhoid, dengue, malaria and other viral fevers are spreading in the district and take necessary steps to stop the patients from going to private hospitals. She also told to conduct medical camps if needed.

Medical officers of Mancherial, Old Mancherial, Rajeev Nagar and Srisri Nagar informed the Collector that 11 dengue cases were registered so far in their areas. The Collector instructed the medical officers and staff to be available to the patients and to give quality treatment to the patients.

She also told the government area hospital staff, primary health centre, sub-centres to register the cases carefully and to be ready with the reports. Serious action will be taken on those, who neglect their duties, she warned.

District medical and health officer Bheshma, deputy DMHO Neeraja, doctors Ravi, Anil and medical officers were present.
