Beggar murdered in Hyderabad after petty quarrel
A beggar was killed by a footpath dweller here on Monday morning under Chaderghat police station limits in Old City. The victim was identified as Sardar.
According to the police, the victim, who is also a footpath dweller had an argument with another footpath dweller Khaja. The quarrel further escalated between the two and Khaja thrashed Sardar who died on the spot. The police took up the investigation and arrested Khaja.
The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. Both Sardar and Khaja are said to be in a drunk state when the incident happened.
Earlier on March 13, 2020, a rag-picker was killed by a footpath dweller in Ameerpet. Mohsin and the accused Abu had an argument and in a fit of rage, the latter took out a blade and slit Mohsin's throat. A case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code was registered.
