Bhadrachalam: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker prays at Bhadradri

Bhadrachalam: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram along with his family members visited Lord Rama temple on Thursday. He was welcomed by the temple officers and priests.
 

After performing special pujas in the main temple, he visited the temples of Goddess Laxmi Ammavaru and Lord Anjaneya Swamy on the premises.

Speaking to the media people later, he said it was first time he came to the temple after winning the Assembly elections in May. He informed that both the Chief Ministers of two Telugu States were discussing the issue of merged panchayats. "Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar is a good friend of mine," he said, adding that AP Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy was ruling the State according to the wish of the people. He prayed for peace in both the Telugu States.

Donates Rs 1 lakh towards Annadanam

The AP Assembly Speaker later donated Rs 1,01,500 towards the temple's mass feeding (Annadanam) programme. He presented the cheque to the temple Assistant Executive Officer, V Sravan Kumar, on the temple premises.
