Bhadrachalam: The Bhadradri Brahmotsavams (annual fete) is going to start on Saturday, said Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Devasthanam Executive Officer T Ramesh Babu here on Friday.

Speaking to The Hans India, Ramesh Babu said as per the tradition, the Brahmotsavams will start on Ugadi (the Telugu New Year day). They will continue till April 20.

While the celestial wedding of Lord Rama with his consort Sita would be performed on April 14, on the day of Srirama Navami, the coronation ceremony (Mahapattabhishekam) would be conducted the next day. He informed that on April 10, Ankurarpana programme would be conducted followed by Gaudhdivahan on 11th, Agni Prathista on 12th, Edurukollu on 13th, celestial wedding on 14th and Mahapattabhishekam on 15th. He said Chakrasnanam programme would be held on the concluding day i.e., April 20.

The EO informed that Nitya Kalyanam programme would be suspended during the Brahmotsavams.
