BHEL employee ends life over harassment by colleagues
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old woman identified as Neha Chouksey, working in BHEL, Hyderabad in the accounts department, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan at her residence on Thursday morning over harassments by office colleagues.
According to police, on Thursday a complaint has been lodged by one Sunil Khandelwal (36), in which he stated that in the morning he found that his wife Neha Chouksey closed the room door from inside and even after several knocks when she did not open the door, he along with his family members called security guards and neighbours and broke the door. On opening the door they found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
Police said prior to this incidence Neha was disturbed by the behaviour and alleged harassment both mentally and physical by office colleagues. She also told her husband that her phone was being tapped and hacked by her office members.
She informed her husband that main culprit was her DGM, BHEL, Hyderabad identified as Kishore Arther Kumar, E6, Deputy General Manager, and others identified as Trithabasi Swain, Dy manager, Mohanlal Soni, Deputy manager, S Sumalatha, Deputy manager, Gopiram Korra, Deputy manager, Almi Nithin, Deputy manager, Sitaram D, Senior Officer, Charan Raj, Senior Officer and whole team of executive officers/ hackers.
She joined Hyderabad office on June 10, 2019 prior to which she faced similar harassment in Bhopal branch from where she took a transfer.
She also left a hand-written note before suicide, which has already been handed over to the police. On receipt of the complaint police registered a case and took up investigation.
