Bhongir: Need to create awareness on women safety measures

Yadadri-Bhongir: CMO Secretary Smita Sabharwal participated in Core Group on Women Safety meeting as chief guest held at Bhongir on Friday

She inquired the women committee members about the functioning of women safety emergency numbers 100 and 181, take necessary advices from them to improve the women safety in the State. Addressing the women gathering, she said that she will bring the women safety suggestions to the notice of top level officials Every woman of the State must have awareness on safety help line numbers, she added

She informed that a report of present safety measures and suggestions would be submitted to the government for necessary action. The SHE teams in the State were formed on the recommendations of the core group of women safety

She directed collectors to take action on petitions of women about the harassments at working places as per the circular and suspend the respective persons and take departmental action

Government Chief Whip Gongidi Sunitha, Women and Child Welfare Commissioner Divya Devaraj, Social Welfare Commisioner Yogitha Rana , Family Welfare Commissioner Vakati Karuna, Hyderabad Collector Swetha Mohanty , Nalgonda Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil were also present.
