Bizman generates Rs 12 lakh bill at Hyderabad hotel, booked after failing to clear it

A businessman was booked under the charges of cheating on Friday for failing to clear bill up to Rs 12.34 lakh at Taj Banjara here in the city. Based on the complaint filed by the hotel against the man, the police booked a cheating case.

Getting into details, Akkichetty Shankar Narayan, a realtor from Vishakapatnam defrauded the hotel staff by vacating the room without paying the bills on April 15. According to the hotel general manager Hitendra Sharma, Shankar first stayed at the hotel on April 4, 2018, and stayed for 108 nights in a year on different dates.

On April 15, 2019, he vacated the hotel without informing the staff. Sharma further continued that an amount of Rs 25.96 lakh was generated for 102 nights out of which Sharma paid Rs 13.62 lakh before absconding. "We tried to contact him on June 26, but his phone was switched off," Sharma added.

However, Shankar denied it and said that he had cleared all the pills before vacating the hotel.
