BJP demands Telangana CM not to release false news over lockdown

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao

BJP on Friday demanded that CM KCR should instruct CMO to not indulge in manufactured news leaks, which are creating massive confusion in general public in the state.

BJP is worried that daily wage earners, labour, auto drivers and other occupational migrants from Telangana districts and from neighbouring states are returning back to their homes in panic since two days. The news leak planted in media by CMO about a possible lockdown in Hyderabad starting this week, has unsettled lakhs of people in GHMC area.

BJP feels, this reverse exodus to rural areas triggered by the confusing statements from CMO is quite dangerous. It can shift COVID19 cases transmission to rural Telangana which is currently almost free of infection. This panic reverse migration will also lead to massive job loss and income support to the daily wagers and migrant labour.

BJP strongly condemns the irresponsible messaging being promoted by TRS Government, literally playing with lives and livelihoods of lakhs of poor people of the state.
