BJP demands White Paper on State's financial position

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP spokesperson Augula Rakesh Reddy on Saturday demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao release a White Paper on the financial position.

Addressing the media here, he said, "The TRS government is not able to fulfil even a single election promise." Farmers were not given the enhanced financial assistance under the Rythu Bandhu, and the fee reimbursement dues were not cleared.

The government, he said, was yet to fulfil its promises of enhanced financial assistance under various welfare schemes like expectant mothers, pensions, unemployment allowances of Rs 3,016 etc.

Also, beneficiaries of various existing schemes like Shaadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi and others are not receiving the financial assistance on time.

Similarly, the government is also not clearing the pending bills of various works carried out by different departments.

It is yet to release the promised Rs 15 lakh to the villages which elected their peoples' representatives unanimously, he rued.
